How to Set Up and Use the Community Forum

The Community Forum gives your HOA a place to share announcements, neighborhood alerts, questions, photos, and other community information. Board members and homeowners can create posts and participate in discussions.

Enable the Community Forum

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Select the Settings tab.
  3. Scroll down to Community Forum.
  4. Turn on Allow Community Forum.
  5. Click Save.

Once enabled, the Community Forum will be available through the owner portal and your EasyHOA website.

Adjust the Forum Settings

  1. Select Community Forum from the main menu.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Enter a forum description or community guidelines.
  4. If desired, choose how many days a post should remain active before it is automatically archived.
  5. Click Save.

Create a Post

  1. Go to Community Forum.
  2. Click Add Post.
  3. Enter a title and message.
  4. Add a photo if desired.
  5. Publish the post.

Homeowners can also create posts through the Community Forum after logging in and accepting the forum terms.

Comments and Notifications

Homeowners and board members can comment on posts to participate in the conversation.

When a homeowner creates a new post, EasyHOA sends an email to the HOA inbox notifying the board that a new post was created.

Please note: The HOA inbox is notified when a new post is created, but it does not receive an email for every new comment.

Archive a Post

Board members can archive posts that are outdated or no longer needed. Archived posts can be reviewed by clicking Archived Posts from the Community Forum page.
