Violation statuses can be created by going to the dashboard>violations page. Once you are on the main violations page click on "violation settings". From this page click on "statuses" and then "add new status". Typically you could have an open and closed status or if your HOA handles violations in a specific way you could set up many different statuses here for violations. If you would like to create a custom status you can do that and you can select whether you want that new custom status to be "considered as closed" status when applying it to the status type. When you are on the main violations page at the top you will see a dropdown setting called "select status" this is how you can filter between all statuses or specific statuses. https://support.easyhoa.com/how-to-create-a-new-violation/
