First go to dashboard>accounting>transactions. To categorize the transaction click on the transaction you want to work with. This will bring up a screen where you can update the transaction details such as date, account, description, type, vendor/contractor, amount, and category. Once you have updated the transaction with the correct category and other information, you will click the "save" button. Once you have clicked save you will click on the checkmark icon out to the right of the transaction or if you are reviewing and approving more than one transaction you can check the box out to the right of each transaction you have reviewed and click on the checkmark icon at the top. You will then be asked if you are sure you want to review and you would click on accept or cancel. Once you click accept those transaction will now show up on your general ledger and financial reports. If you want to just save and review that transaction all at once and not have to go through the process of saving it and then clicking on the checkmark icon you can click the "save and review" button after you have updated the transaction. the Here is a detailed video on how to do this: https://support.easyhoa.com/accounting/how-to-categorize-and-approve-transactions
