The budgets page of the EasyHOA software is located under the main menu under accounting. When you click on budgets you will be taken to the budgets page of the software. On the budgets page of the software at the top right of the page is a button called "create a new budget". This is where you would go to create a new budget for your HOA. When you click on the create new budget button a box will pop up where you will enter the title of the budget which is usually the year and then the budget period after you enter this click on save. On the budgets page underneath the "Create a new budget" button is a table that shows all budgets that have been created in the software with their name, date period, and actions. Under the actions column is an edit link, delete link, and budget vs actuals link. If you click on the edit link you can edit the name of the budget. If you click on the delete link this is how you delete a budget, and if you click on the budget vs actuals link it will bring up a new page where you can view the budgeted amounts, actual amounts and the variance. At the top right of this budget vs actuals page is a button called "monthly budget vs actuals". If you click on this monthly budget vs actuals button it will download a csv file that shows the budgeted vs actuals by month. To the right of this monthly budget vs actuals button is a button called "export csv" and "export pdf". These two buttons will download the report into a csv or pdf to your computer. The budget vs actuals report can also be access by going to the reports page located under the main menu under accounting. On the budgets page you will see down below where it lists the budgets that have been created. When you click on the name of a budget you will be taken to that actual budget page. On the budget page you will see the income accounts and sub accounts as well as expense accounts and sub accounts at the far left. To the left of the accounts column is a column called budget totals. To enter or edit an amount under the budget totals simply click on the number out to the right its respective account. When you enter a number into the budget totals column then the budget will spread that amount over 12 months. For example under the homeowner dues account and budget totals column if you enter $120 and click save then the budget total column will show $120 and then the following 12 months would each have $10 listed under their monthly amount. This works the same for expenses. If you want to enter the budget totals by month and not enter them in under the budget totals column you can do that too but you would need to make sure you enter an amount for each month. The budget totals column is an easy way to enter a budget for an income or expense that you know will be the same each month. On the budgets page at the top right is a button called "alterations log" if you click on this alterations log button you will be taken to a page that lists all changes or alterations to the budget and who made that change. This table has the following column titles: budget category, budget name, change from, change to, user, date. On the budgets page to the right of the alterations log button are two buttons one called "export csv" and one called "export pdf". These two buttons will create and download either a csv or pdf file to your computer of the current budget you are on.
